Watch for Symptoms
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
This list does not include all possible symptoms. If you, or someone you know, has been recently tested for COVID-19 we ask that you wait the appropriate amount of quarantine days (14) before booking ferry tickets. Keeping guests and employees safe is important to us and ask that you do your part in keeping others healthy.

- St. Marys → Cumberland Island: Daily, 9 a.m. & 11:45 a.m.
- Cumberland Island → St. Marys: Daily, 10:15 a.m., 2:45 p.m. & 4:45 p.m.
Come and celebrate Christmas like the Carnegies! On December 2nd, 2023 Plum Orchard will be decorated for Christmas; complete with games and light refreshments. If you would like to book the ferry, please call the office at (877) 860-6787. You can take the 9am or the 11:45 ferry out to the island and come back to St Marys on the 4:45. St. Marys to Cumberland Island Ferry Trips
Departure
Your journey begins in St. Marys, Georgia, where you board the ferry bound for Cumberland Island National Seashore. Visit our museum and Visitor Center and enjoy learning about the rich history and nature of the island.
Return Trip
Enjoy a fast ferry service back to St. Marys. The town offers dining, lodging, and attractions within our National Historic District, and beyond that, ensures a special visit. History, nature, and adventure await you on Georgia’s coastline.
Important Info
- Arrive 60 minutes before your scheduled ferry departure time
- Passengers must purchase departure and return trip during checkout. One way ticket purchases are subject to cancellation
- If you would like to save time by paying the $15.00 entrance fee online, you can follow this website. The fee only applies to guests 16 or older. If you pay online, you still need to show your email and valid ID to a Park Ranger during check-in.
Special Pricing
- Special pricing is available to residents of Camden County, GA from December 1st to February 28th. Active Military and Veteran special pricing is also available for the entire month of November. Tickets are first-come, first-serve at the Visitor Center and reservations with the pricing cannot be made in advance. They are non-refundable and non-transferable, they must be used for the day they are purchased. Please call for more information on our special promotional pricing.
- The reduced price does not include the entrance fee or any other additional fees for Cumberland Island, pricing is only for the ferry ride.
